メタセコイヤ並木道
大きなメタセコイヤが、果樹園の広がる農場の道沿い約２.５Kmにわたって植えられています。春〜夏は緑のトンネル、秋はオレンジ色の並木、冬は雪景色と、四季折々の表情を見せてくれます。ゆったりした歩道も整備されているので、ワンちゃんとのんびり散策できますよ！並木道の中間地点にあるマキノピックランドでは、果物狩りが楽しめます。

A large metasequoia tree line stretches for about 2.5 kilometers along the road of a farm with expansive orchards. It provides different scenic views throughout the seasons, transforming into a green tunnel in spring and summer, an orange-lined avenue in autumn, and a snowy landscape in winter. With well-maintained pathways, you can take leisurely walks, even with your dog. At Makino Picnic Land, located at the midpoint of this tree-lined path, you can enjoy fruit picking.

びわ湖箱館山
びわ湖の北西に位置する箱館山からは、目の前にびわ湖、竹生島、伊吹山が見える絶景スポット！グリーンシーズンの4月29日（土） ～11月12日（日）は様々な花が咲くお花畑や、高島ちぢみのカーテンや風鈴のトンネル、ジップラインや大きなブランコなどフォトジェニックなスポットもたくさん！ゴンドラはワンちゃん（大きさ制限なし）も乗車できるので、ワンちゃんとのお出かけにもピッタリ。ドッグランもあるので季節の良い日はゆっくり過ごせますよ。ナイトゴンドラやイベントなども開催されますので、ぜひWeb siteをチェックしてみてください。

From Mt. Hakodate located to the northwest of Lake Biwa, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Lake Biwa, Takeshima Island, and Mt. Ibuki right in front of you! During the green season from April 29th (Saturday) to November 12th (Sunday), you'll find various flowers blooming in the flower fields, as well as photogenic spots like the Tashima Chijimi curtains, wind chime tunnels, zip lines, and a large swing. The gondola allows dogs of all sizes (no size restrictions), making it a perfect outing with your furry friend. There's also a dog run, so you can relax on a nice day. Night gondola rides and events are also held, so be sure to check the website for more details.

桂浜園地

桂浜園地は彼岸花の群生地として有名ですが、ワンちゃん連れやお子様連れで水遊びをするのにピッタリのスポットです。湖岸は散策路があって草原の道を散歩する感じです。また、びわ湖から朝日をのぞむ綺麗な景色もお勧めです。特に冬の朝は山肌がピンク色に染まり幻想的な景色を見ることができますよ。

Katsurahama Park is famous for its cluster amaryllis blossoms, but it's also a perfect spot for families with dogs or children to enjoy water activities. The lakeside area has walking paths that make you feel like you're strolling through a grassy meadow. Additionally, the beautiful view of the sunrise over Lake Biwa is highly recommended. Especially in the winter mornings, when the mountains turn pink, you can witness a fantastical and enchanting scene.

熊川宿
高島市のお隣、小浜市にある熊川宿は、若狭から京都まで鯖を運んだ鯖街道にある主要な宿場町でした。古い家の街並みが残り、家並みの道沿いにある小川は、飛騨高山の街並みを連想させます。街道は2キロほどで程よい距離。途中にある神社に立ち寄ったり、カフェの中庭でお茶したり。犬連れでも季節の良い時期には楽しめます。

Kumagawa-juku, located in the neighboring city of Obama, next to Takashima City, was a prominent post town along the Sabakaido, a route used to transport mackerel from Wakasa to Kyoto. The town has preserved its old house-lined streets, and the small streams running alongside these houses evoke the atmosphere of Hida Takayama's streets. The road itself stretches for about 2 kilometers, making it a pleasant distance to walk. You can stop by shrines along the way or enjoy tea in the courtyard of a café. Even when accompanied by dogs, it can be a delightful experience during the right season.

白髭神社
びわ湖に浮かぶ鳥居が目印の白髭神社。古くから延命長寿白髭の神として知られ、縁結びや子受けの神としても信仰されていた近江最古の大社です。湖西道路を大津方面から高島へ入るとほどなく右側に見えてきます。ワンちゃんも一緒に参拝できます。

Shirahige Shrine, marked by a torii gate standing in Lake Biwa, is a venerable shrine known for its deity, White Beard, associated with longevity and health. It is the oldest and most revered shrine in Omi Province, also known for its role in matchmaking and fertility. As you enter Takashima from the Otsu direction via the Kohsei Road, you will soon see it on your right. Dogs are also welcome to accompany you during your visit.

日本のさくら名所100選の一つである海津大崎のさくら。びわ湖沿いの道路4Kmにわたり桜が植えられており、例年４月の初旬に見頃を迎えます。桜の時期にはお花見船に乗りびわ湖上から海津大崎の桜を観覧できます。ワンちゃん連れの場合は車から桜のトンネルをくぐるドライブが楽しいですよ！

Kaizu-Osaki Sakura, one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots, is a spectacular sight. Cherry trees line a 4-kilometer stretch along the shores of Lake Biwa, typically reaching their peak bloom in early April each year. During cherry blossom season, you can also take a cherry blossom viewing boat ride on Lake Biwa to admire the Kaizu-Osaki cherry blossoms from the water. If you're visiting with your dog, a drive through the cherry blossom tunnel from the comfort of your car can be a delightful experience!

こどもの国
滋賀県立びわ湖こどもの国は、地元のお母さんたちがお勧めするファミリー向けのスポットです。びわ湖畔にある広大な土地に芝生広場、全長４０mもある大型遊具、アスレチック、キャンプ場、湖水浴場、宿泊施設を備えています。入園料は不要で、遊具利用料のみ必要。残念ながらワンちゃんは入園不可なので、どこかに預けるなどの準備が必要ですね。お泊まりのお客様はわんちゃんのお留守番などご相談ください。

Shiga Prefectural Biwako Kodomo no Kuni (Biwako Children's Land) is a family-friendly spot highly recommended by local moms. Located along the shores of Lake Biwa, this expansive area features a grassy field, a large 40-meter playground, athletic facilities, a campsite, a lakeside beach, and accommodation facilities. Admission to the park is free, with only a fee for using the playground equipment. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the park, so you'll need to make arrangements for them elsewhere if you plan to visit. If you're staying overnight and need assistance with dog care, feel free to inquire.

宝牧場
高島市朽木にある宝牧場。自社繁殖の近江牛や宝牧場牛を育てている牧場で、焼肉レストラン「宝亭」や「しぼりたて工房」があり、しぼりたて工房では牧場のミルクを使ったソフトクリームが食べれます！店内はワンちゃんNGですが、外のテラス席で座って過ごすことができます。しぼりたて工房の裏には牛舎があり、牛さんを見ることができます。

Takara Farm in Kutsuki, Takashima City, is a farm that raises Omi beef and Hōboku Farm beef through their in-house breeding program. They have a yakiniku restaurant called "Takaratei" and a "Shiboritate Kōbō" (Freshly Squeezed Workshop), where you can enjoy soft-serve ice cream made with the farm's milk! While dogs are not allowed inside the premises, you can relax on the outdoor terrace seating. Behind the Shiboritate Kōbō, there is a barn where you can see the cows.

温泉さらさ
マキノ高原にある温泉さらさ。男女別それぞれ５０名まで利用できる浴室「満天星(どうだん)」・「風鈴(ふうりん)」があり、１５名利用の洗い場とかぶり湯・四季湯（低温）・寝湯・ジャグジーそして大浴場があります。それぞれに露天風呂がありプライベートを維持しつつ庭園風景の中、一角から雄大な赤坂山系を望むことができます。
また、２００名収容の水着でご利用できる男女混浴場「バーデゾーン」では、ジャグジー・サウナ・ウォーキングゾーン・チャイルドゾーンetc.家族で楽しむことができます。

Sarasara Onsen, located in Makino Highland, offers separate bathing areas for men and women, each accommodating up to 50 people. They have baths named "Doudan" (Starry Sky) and "Fuurin" (Wind Chime), along with wash stations for 15 people, a cascade bath, seasonal baths (low-temperature), a lying bath, a jacuzzi, and a large communal bath. Each of these areas has an outdoor bath, allowing you to maintain privacy while enjoying views of the garden and, from a corner, the majestic Akasaka Mountain Range.
Additionally, they have a mixed-gender bathing area called "Bade Zone" that can accommodate up to 200 people in swimwear. Here, you can enjoy facilities like a jacuzzi, sauna, walking zone, child zone, and more, making it suitable for family enjoyment.

メタセコイヤ並木道にあるピックランドを通り葉山珈琲メタセコイヤさんを過ぎですぐ右折した場所にあります。ちびまる子ちゃんに出てくるような懐かしい店構え。お店横に外の席があって、そこはワンちゃんOKです。中華そば美味しいです！
